Da Vinci’s ‘Mona Lisa’ is acclaimed as the best known, most visited, most written about, most sung about, most parodied work of art in the world. The ambiguity
of the subject's expression, frequently described as enigmatic, the subtle modelling of forms and the atmospheric illusionism were novel qualities that have contributed to the continuing fascination and study of the work. Mona Lisa’s smile is the most discussed and debated element, because of its wry and ironic nature.
More than being simply IRONic, here it is covered by an iron beam (in the meaning of smile, too).
It is an x-rayed ‘Moody Lisa’, though still enigmatic, giving us a laser-sharp look.
