‘I want to go to the moon! Anybody along the fairway should be warned. Nobody should get hurt because of my attempted
endeavour.’

Shout ‘Fore’ the Moon is dedicated Alan Shepard, who, just before departure from the moon on the Apollo 14 mission, hit a golf ball across the lunar surface. The golf club he used was a contingency sample extension handle with a No. 6  iron head. The low gravity on the moon compensated for the difficulty in making a good swing whilst wearing a bulky space suit and backpack.
