Daily life in the digital age. Will we reach the point where humans and robots will interact as friends and lovers, as implied in this Japanese scene ?
Scientists foresee a technological singularity, in which computers become more intelligent than people, leading to a merging of human life with computers. This ‘singularity’ - a term borrowed from quantum physics - is forecast to be only decades away. Whether we face the dehumanization of man or the opening up of boundless possibilities, we await the biggest change to humanity since the invention of language. We do not know in ‘Row-bot’ if we see one of the more tranquil possible outcomes. Are we quite sure such outcome is one of the aspirations of the pretty Japanese girl ?
